Improv beyond the stage

31 de January de 2024

Applied improv is the branch of theatrical improvisation that tries to apply its principles and mechanisms to other areas such as work, teaching or life. We have already dedicated a couple of articles to it in our buying guides: “4 books to apply improv to life and work” and “Improv philosophy for life” where we saw a more spiritual side, which I recommend reviewing.

Improvised Theatre and the Autism Spectrum (Gary Kramer, Richie Ploesch)

In this work, we take a look at improv as a tool to train social and communication skills for people on the autism spectrum. The game and its specific applications to create a teaching program are presented.
